Here are my final 3 designs for my business card, envelope and letterhead. There are shown bigger and with explanations in my style guide. Please see style guide.

I played around with a few fonts to start off with to decide which one i wanted to use in my final design. I ended up editing a few and testing how they scaled as in their ledgablity when they were scaled down. I ended up choosing a very simple font called Optima and did it all in lower case (the bottom font shown bellow).

Concepts for my final logo design

Here is a few of my final logo concepts the final choice was the bottom left logo (not in a circle) and this also was very similar to my final colour choice also! The reason the others were not chosen were simply because they werent as visible or recognizable when scaled down. I like my final logo choice, now to go apply it to my letterhead etc!

Colour Exercise

Above are some examples of me playing around with colour and what I wanted orginally thought was going to be my final logo design, after playing around with it i realised that the dots in platypus were lost when scaled down. But this was when i decided on ocher orangey/brown and the blue which was influenced by the Australian sky and ocean. In my final design the platypus is solid and the text is also solid which i think works well together.
